We consist of 1 Beaver Colony, 1 Cub pack, 1 Scout troop and 1 Explorer unit.

All the groups are run by warranted leaders who have undergone enhanced disclosure checks and training for their role.

We have a voluntary committee made up of parents who are elected annually at the annual general meeting. The committee are responsible for the upkeep of the hall and fundraising.

We prefer subs to be paid at the start of the term, however, if you prefer to pay weekly that is fine. In this case the full amount is due  for weeks where the child is absent. There is a good discount for paying termly compared to paying weekly and so if there is any way that you can manage to do this it is the best option

We have to pay a fee each year to the Scout Association for every member of the group (capitation) to cover insurance and the running of the Scout Association. This is collected as a portion of the subs.

When a child is old enough to move on to the next section they attend both their own meeting and the new meeting for 4 weeks. This is an important way of easing the transition and makes the move much less scary. Subs is only paid for the section that they are leaving.

Lots of information can be found on www.scouts.org.uk covering things such as badge requirements and where badges go on the uniform.
